Annual licenses: Environmental Health License(s) expire on December 31. To reinstate a license after expiration, the applicant must pay a reinstatement fee of $103.00 in addition to the license fee required. The reinstatement fee shall increase by an additional $103.00 on the first day of each succeeding month until the license is reissued.
Public Health Service Licenses expire annually on Dec 31. It is in violation of Oregon law to operate without a current license. Renewal is required on or before Dec 31. The following Oregon Revised Statutes will be applied equitably to all operators.
Food Service- Per ORS 624.490 To re-instate a license after December 31st, the applicant must pay a reinstatement fee of $103.00, in addition to the license fee required. The reinstatement fee shall increase by an additional $103.00 on the first day of each succeeding month until the license is reinstated. Thus on Jan 1 and the first day of subsequent months that the license fee is not paid, a $103.00 fee will be assessed. Licenses will not be issued without full payment of total balance owing.
For Pools/Spas- Per ORS 446.060 Operating or maintain a pool/spa without a permit is contrary to ORS 448.005-448.090. 448.990 provides penalties for violation by a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00. Each day the violation continues is a separate offense. Thus on Jan 1 a $25./day late fine will be imposed up to maximum accrual of $500.
For Travelers Accommodations- Per ORS 446.323 Failure to renew a license on or before expiration date is considered delinquent. If delinquency extends 15 days past the expiration date, a penalty fee of 50% of the annual license fee shall be added. The penalty shall be increased by 50% of the license fee on the first day of each succeeding month of delinquency. On Jan 15 a penalty will be imposed.
